Shipping policy

Everything ships from our warehouse in Corinth, Maine.

Where we ship

United States only: all 50 states, Puerto Rico, Guam, the US Virgin Islands and APO/FPO addresses, all at the same price. We do not ship outside the United States at the moment.

What it costs

Every order ships by USPS Media Mail, the Postal Service rate made specifically for records, books and other media, and what most record shops use.

Orders of $50 or more ship free. Below that, an order pays one price for the whole parcel, set by its weight: under half a pound is $5.49, half a pound or more is $6.99. A record and a CD going in the same mailer are charged once, not twice. The price is the same to every address we ship to.

How long it takes

Orders go in the post within 1 to 2 business days. When yours goes out you will get an email with its USPS tracking number. Every order is tracked.

After that, transit time is up to the Postal Service. Media Mail is not a guaranteed service: USPS quotes 2 to 8 business days, and it is handled at a lower priority than other mail, so it can take longer, especially in December.

Ordering for Christmas

For Christmas 2026, order by Wednesday 9 December. That date allows for our 1 to 2 business days of packing and Media Mail's slowest delivery time. We keep shipping after it, but a later order may not arrive in time.

How we pack

Vinyl is double packaged. Records are boxed first and the box then goes inside a padded mailer, so there are two layers between your record and the sorting machinery. Cassettes and CDs go in mailers sized for them.

We have been shipping records for over 45 years and the packing is the part we are least willing to cut corners on.

If something arrives damaged anyway, photograph it and email us. See our refund policy; you will not be out of pocket.

Address errors

Please check your address before you order. If a parcel comes back to us because the address was wrong or incomplete, we will refund the item but not the original postage, and we will have to charge again to send it out a second time.

If you spot a mistake straight after ordering, email us quickly. If it has not shipped we can fix it for nothing.

One box where we can

We put as many items in one box as we can. A very large order may go out in more than one box, but you still pay a single shipping charge for it, the one shown at checkout.

If you place two orders close together and neither has shipped, email us and we will pack them together and refund the second shipping charge. We cannot do this once the first one is in the post.
